Saturday, I picked up a magazing from Barnes & Noble, which was a GIMP handbook that contained the free software GIMP 2.8. I can get add ons like I can with Paint Tool SAI and perhaps I can use this with my collabs and hopefully this may do better for me than paint.net could. If any of you are GIMP experts, feel free to post a comment here telling me about it. I wouldn't mind extra Paint Tool SAI tips either so feel free to help me out with it too.

I would also wish to start learning how to use other programs as well such as MMD, Blender, Flash 8, and more.

I almost always use GIMP, and it is a very good program, but it can be a little complicated to understand sometimes, like when making layers or curves =/. You can do pretty much everything you can do on pain tool SAI with GIMP, not everything, but I suppose that there are things you can only do on GIMP but not with Pain tool SAI as well =P. Tough, the quality of the paintings are quite bad - the pixels are quite large, but you can usually fix that by making the whole page bigger. But I think as long as you know how to use Paint Tool SAI, you should be fine with using GIMP as well, and you could always ask if there's something you want to know =)
